My name is Emily, and I love all things outdoors, and also have lot of deep thoughts about the relationship that modern societies have with the environment. I grew up in the PNW and love to hike, kayak and explore, but as I see the effects of climate change starting to come into focus, I struggle with how to balance my love of faraway woods with the reality that driving there is part of the problem.
